Day 1 :

Arrival in Annecy. Walking guided tour of the old town and its treasures. One of the oldest constructions in Annecy, Palais de l’Isle, was built in 1132. The Castle of Annecy is a restored castle which dominates the old French town of Annecy, the lake and the mountains. The lake, which waters are from the purest in the world, is remarkable by its astonishing crystalline blue green colours. Lunch (possible lunch in a typical mountain chalet). In the afternoon, explore the environs: gain some height and discover Annecy from the Visitation Basilica with overview on the lake. Get acquainted to the wild nature from the lake end, go for a walk along the Talloires bay or drive to the heart of the mountains to the village of la Clusaz, in a stunning setting of the French Alps. Grandiose panoramas and breath-taking nature guaranteed. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2 :

Breakfast. Departure to Chamonix a picturesque alpine town dominated by the Alp Mountains and glaciers rising majestically upwards to Mont-Blanc, the highest mountain of Europe. Ride up with the cable car to the Aiguille du Midi till 3842 m height and enjoy free time at the top to soak up the views on the different terraces. If it’s open, you can try the “Step into the Void” adventure, a glass room built around a metal frame, allowing visitors to experience 1035 m void under their feet. Return to Chamonix town centre for lunch. In the afternoon, board the charming red cog railway up to Montenvers at 1913 m height, where you’ll enjoy fabulous views on the Mer de Glace. This magnificent glacier is a natural living witness of climate change of our era. It offers several visits including the crystal gallery and the ice caves carved into the Glacier. Get back to Chamonix by train. Dinner and overnight stay.

Useful information : 
Take good walking shoes, warm clothes, sunglasses and sunscreen at all seasons. Cable car ascent not adapted to children under 3 years old and pregnant women.

Day 3 :

Breakfast. Drive towards the banks of Leman Lake and arrival in Evian-les-Bains. Guided walking tour to learn better the History of the town, from Middle Age to nowadays and of course the rich period of thermalism. Road to Yvoire and lunch. Guided tour of the town classified with the French label « Most Beautiful Villages of France »: stone mansions with wooden balconies, narrow streets flourished with glycine and geraniums… Overlooking the lake shore that made the village a fishermen and boatmen’s port, the square dungeon is one of the medieval remnant of Yvoire’s past. Boat cruise on the lake on board of a solar energy boat. Set off to better appreciate the site with, as background scene, a fantastic view on the French and Swiss Prealps. Return to Annecy. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4 :

Breakfast. Drive towards Geneva, and start by a walking tour of the old town that tells a thousand stories, dominated by St Peter’s Cathedral. Lunch. Transfer to the airport or free time before the return in your country.
