YOUR PROGRAM : 

During this star circuit in the French Southwest, between Béarn, Bigorre and Gers areas, you will discover iconic Pyrenean towns such as Pau, the birthplace of the « good King Henri » and Lourdes, the town with thousands of pilgrims. Enjoy foothills and high mountains panoramic views and landscapes, not forgetting the richly flavoured gastronomy and the best wineries.

Day 1 :

Arrival at Toulouse-Blagnac or Pau airport. Transfer to Pau center, the Capital of the Pyrenees. Check-in and installation in your rooms. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2 :

Breakfast at the hotel. Walking tour of the historic quarter of the Royal City of Pau and a visit of the castle, birthplace of Henri IV and unique collection of tapestries. After a traditional lunch « Poule au pot”, the king’s favourite meal, enjoy a walking tour in the boulevard des Pyrénées. Transfer to the close city of Lescar to visit the medieval town, former capital of Béarn. Typical dinner at a cider restaurant accompanied by Béarnais and Basque singers. Back to the hotel. Overnight stay.

Day 3 :

Breakfast at the hotel. Journey around Lourdes, Pyrenean passes and Jurançon vineyards. Departure to Lourdes. Visit of the famous Marian City and the shrine of Lourdes. Ascent to the iconic Aubisque pass and picnic facing the Pyrenees. Return to Pau passing through the wonderful Ossau valley. Visit and wine tasting in Jurançon. Back to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4 :

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to the Gers to visit the most famous vineyard in Madiran. Visit of the properties, the cellars, the wine vat halls. Wine tasting and wine pairing to accompany a lunch cooked with local products. Return journey to Toulouse-Blagnac or Pau airport with a stop in a bee-farm.

Useful information :
Possibility of hiking day in the high Aspe Valley : Departure to the wonderful mountainous Aspe Valley. A trekking day with a guide from the famous cirque of Lescun and its dolomitic peaks, renowned place of the Pyrenees (2 courses and levels of difficulty possible). Picnic basket. Return journey to the hotel, dinner and night.
