    Day 1 :

    Arrival in Bordeaux. Transfer from the train station or airport to your hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.

    Day 2 :

    Breakfast. Guided tour of Bordeaux. If the city is world famous because of its wines, it’s thanks to its History strongly linked to its river Garonne that Bordeaux is able to show you all the wealth and treasures of its exceptional heritage : the Place Royale (today the Place de la Bourse) and its water mirror, the Grand Theatre, the Allées de Tourny, Saint-Eloi district crossed by picturesque streets, the Hotel de Ville district with the cathedral of Saint-André and the Palais Rohan. Lunch in a local restaurant. In the afternoon, enter the « Cité du Vin » and embark on an immersive, sensory adventure to discover the cultures and civilisations of wine. In an open exhibition space occupying more than 3.000 m², nearly twenty different themed areas invite you to take a voyage of discovery and enjoy a unique experience exploring the many and varied facets of wine across time and space. A visit to the permanent tour also includes the travel companion, a free, innovative tool available in Italian (headset) and the access to the Belvedere, where you can discover a 360° view of Bordeaux whilst tasting a glass of world wine (50 ml). Dinner and overnight stay.

    Day 3 :

    Breakfast. Head towards Saint Emilion : stone jewel situated in a vineyard setting, this architectural site seems to have been designed by man in order to fit into the surrounding landscape. Walking tour of St Emilion : discover the city of Saint Emilion listed on UNESCO and take scenic routes that will help you discover the hidden charms of the city and the underground city, as well as the monument undoubtedly the most original, the monolithic church. Wine sampling in a vineyard estate. Back to Bordeaux. In the afternoon, embark on board of a boat for a cruise on the Garonne river from bridge Pont d’Aquitaine, sailing along the 18th century facades, to get a different point of view of the Gironde’s capital city. Free time in town. Dinner and overnight stay.

    Day 4 :

    Breakfast. Drive to Arcachon Bay. Water everywhere at high tide, large areas exposed at low tide, beaches all around, an island in the middle, this is the Arcachon basin. Boat ride on the bay : visit without stop to the “Bird Island” passing by its famous huts built on stilts and many oyster ports. Discovery of the local oyster from birth to consumption. Oyster sampling on board. Lunch in a restaurant of Arcachon. Visit Arcachon and cross the oyster villages of La Teste on the way to the Dune of Pilat. This dune reaches 107 meters height. From the top, the view is magnificent : you can admire the ocean coast, the inlet Passes of the Arcachon Bay, the Landes forest, and if weather is clear enough, the Pyrenees mountains. Return to Bordeaux. Dinner and overnight stay.

    Day 5 :

    Breakfast. Drive towards the Medoc, one of the most well-known vineyard : follow the « Wine Route » along the river, where you will notice the famous Grands Crus and Châteaux of the Medoc vineyard with prestigious names : Margaux, Saint Julien, Pauillac, St Estephe. Visit and wine tasting in a local estate. Lunch in a restaurant. Embark a ferryboat to cross the estuary from Lamarque until Blaye. Enjoy the view on the Fort Paté and the Fort Medoc. Discover the Citadel of Blaye : military masterpiece of the 17th century, the site of Blaye witnessed many historical events and military because of its strategic location. Thanks to its architectural heritage, bordered by the largest estuary in Europe, Blaye deserves its motto of “star and key of Aquitaine.” Return to Bordeaux through the picturesque landscape : the vineyards of the Premières Côtes De Blaye and Côtes de Bourg, the waters of the Gironde estuary with its islands, the Corniche road and its very special habitat. Return to Bordeaux. Dinner and overnight stay.

    Day 6 :

    Breakfast. Drive towards the Sauternais wine region. Sauternes, the highly prestigious sweet white wine, is produced 40 km upstream of Bordeaux in a region nestling between the left bank of the Garonne river and the immense Landes forest. This noble area of about 2,200 hectares is divided among the villages of Sauternes, Bommes, Fargues, Preignac and Barsac. The 27 Sauternes and Barsac “Grands crus”, as classified at the 1855 Universal Exhibition in Paris, are the region’s finest wines. At your arrival, visit of the cellar and tasting in a local wine Estate. Return to Bordeaux. Free time or transfer to the train station or airport for the return to your country.
