    Day 1 :

    Arrival in Alsace. Head to a first Christmas Market, for example in Obernai : here, Christmas rimes with gastronomy and delicacy ! You’ll find dozens of wooden chalets where  producers and artisans with terroir products, their own Alsatian specialities and all ingredients for a special Christmas meal : scallops, foie gras, duck, ginger bread not to forget the traditional « bredele » (homemade Christmas cookies)… while others exhibit their creations and original works, fruit of their know-how. In order to plunge into this festive and warm atmosphere in the heart of winter, the roads of Obernai are adorned with the most dashing ornaments. Between lights and garlands reigns a magical ambiance. Installation in your hotel rooms. Dinner and overnight stay.

     

    Day 2 :

    Breakfast. Departure to Strasbourg, capital of Europe. Guided walking tour of the old town: stroll in the ancient pedestrian districts around the cathedral and in the « Petite France », classified by UNESCO World Heritage. Then visit the cathedral (except on Sunday mornings and during religious holidays). Lunch in a typical restaurant. Then embark for a commented mini-cruise on the river: an original way to discover the city. Spend the rest of the afternoon with free time on the famous Christmas market. With approximately 300 chalets spread on about ten sites in the heart of the city, it’s one of the oldest and biggest one in Europe. It perpetuates the tradition of an authentic and warm Alsatian Christmas, where you can find crafts, regional foodstuffs and typical decorations. Back to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.

     

    Day 3 :

    Breakfast. Departure towards the « Alsace wine route » which offers a large variety of landscapes and terroirs. Arrival in Riquewihr, charming medieval village with its numerous half-timbered houses, its beautiful historical centre and very well preserved ramparts. Wine tasting in a cellar with a winegrower. Continue to Colmar. Lunch. Then guided tour of the old town: discover its charm, its prestigious monuments like the Pfister House, the Koïfhus, the collegiate church Saint-Martin and its picturesque districts like the Little Venice or the Tanneurs area… End of the afternoon free on the Christmas market of Colmar. Around Christmas, the town is overflowed with lights and enchantment. A joyful effervescence that remembers the childhood world filled with souvenirs and emotions. Back to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.

     

    Day 4 :

    Breakfast. Departure for the return back in your country.
