    Day 1 :

    Arrival in Avignon. Start with a guided walking tour of Avignon. With a legendary bridge and the famous Popes’ Palace, the ramparts, the 17th and 18th century private mansions in the old part of the city, the gardens, the incredible cultural wealth of churches and museums :  you will be surprised by the beauty and diversity of the cultural inheritance of Avignon. Since 1995, the Popes’ Palace, the biggest and most impressive Gothic fortress in the world, as well as the historical centre and the bridge belong to UNESCO world heritage. Lunch. In the afternoon, departure to the mythic village of Chateauneuf-du-Pape. This place is about much more than just wine. Robert Parker qualified the area as one of the most fascinating wine regions in the world. Understand how the remarkable microclimate make Chateauneuf-du-Pape a major focus for people who are passionate about wine. Wine sampling in a local estate. Return to Avignon. Installation in your hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.

    Day 2 :

    Breakfast. Road to Roussillon in the massif of Luberon, located in the heart of the most important ochre deposit in the world showing off its mineral particularity in an astonishing palette of blazing colours. Free time in the perched village offering splendid views on landscapes with Colorado likeness. Lunch. Continue towards Gordes, nestled on its rocky outcrop, overhanging the Cavalon valley. Guided tour of the village with its little streets and beautiful castle and pass by the Senanque Abbey (exterior), magnifiscent building from the 12th century. Drive back to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.

    Day 3 :

    Breakfast. Start the day in l’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue. Guided tour of this very Provençal place:

    This “city island” with its nature green colours and a bright water reflection is crossed by several canals running through its centre. Antique lovers and art collectors will be gratified by the nearly 300 permanent antique dealers and second hand shops here. On Sundays, a great Provençal market is taking place in the village and on the river banks. Head to Aix-en-Provence. Lunch. In the light of a privileged climate, Aix-en-Provence is nicknamed “the city of the thousand fountains”. Guided tour of the town where someone can enjoy the dignity of patrimony and the pleasure of shopping, the joy of a shaded terrace and the architectural beauties, streets wandering and baroque marvels. Each fountain has its own secrets, each private mansion its stories, places and landscapes drawn by the painter Cezanne, father of modern painting. Installation in your hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.

    Day 4 :

    Breakfast. Drive towards Cassis. Board a 45-minutes boat cruise to appreciate the Mediterranean shore, exploring the 3 « calanques » (coves) of Cassis : Port-Miou, Port-Pin and the most famous one, En-Vau. Free time on the port with view on the Cap Canaille, the highest cliff in France. Lunch. Itinerary via the ridge road until 400m height, offering a breath-taking panorama on the littoral and the coast. Arrival in Sanary-sur-Mer for a free time in the village or to enjoy the beach. Back to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.

     

    Day 5 :

    Breakfast. Departure for the return back in your country.
